Yay, I got Cedar! I went to Justice not knowing if they’d have any, since she’s the doll every one is hunting for, but they had four of her! I picked out the best one, but not before I jumped up and down and exclaimed, “Yay!” Pixie With Fangs just gave me a look. She’s amazing and my second favorite EAH doll (second only to Maddie!) Cedar is my 7th EAH doll. On to the review!
Cedar has a unique head mold since she has wood grain surrounding her face. Her eye makeup is differing shades of brown and looks perfect on her. She has “Cupid” lipstick in a maroon color. Her eyes are light brown. There is also a purple streak of hair in her braid. I tried to pick the one with the most purple in it because it looks so cute. She is so beautiful!
She has an adorable little cricket barrette in her hair, which is obviously a reference to Jiminy Cricket. It’s a cute little pop of green to add some contrast to the brown and purple in the rest of doll. My only complaint is that it doesn’t stay on very well. I might connect it to the braid since it’s more stable.
Her earrings aren’t really my favorite. They seem to be tree rings with little leaves on the side. They fit her theme, but aren’t all that cute. They almost look like snails.
Her dress is so adorable! It’s purple, orange, and has gold detailing. There is a white collar and orange lederhosen. The purple on her torso has wood grain detail on it, which is so cute. This dress looks amazing on her.
Her earrings may not be the best, but her ring and charm bracelet make up for it. The ring is the blue fairy, which is so cute and definitely my favorite EAH ring of all the basic dolls. The bracelet has four different charms on it, a donkey, a whale, the blue fairy, and three leaves, which are all references to Pinocchio and her wood theme.
Her socks aren’t as ornate as they are in the show. In the show they have an orange crossing pattern, which was so cute, but the doll socks don’t, which is disappointing. The purple ribbons look really cute though. Her shoes have pink straps and wood heels (which I forgot to get a picture of). I do like that she doesn’t have tights like the rest of the girls (except Ashlynn). It makes her more unique.
The thing that makes Cedar the most amazing is her wood grain detailing in her arms, legs, and torso. It makes her such a unique and beautiful doll, especially compared to the other EAH dolls.
My Cedar did have a little bit of box hair. It is curly, but there is so much gel in it and it’s a little matted so it’s pretty gross. I’m going to wash it and curl it so it looks better. I hope to get it as curly as it is in the show.
So, I realized later I should have done an unboxing review, since everyone is so excited about Cedar, but I got home and was just too excited and opened her right away! So, here is a picture of the back of her box. Sorry it’s a little dark. Her artwork is so adorable and I love the purple color of the box. I am keeping all the boxes of the basic EAH dolls.
Her accessories include her purse, which is kind of like a log and does open up, a brush (yay, more brushes), and her bookmark/diary. She also has a stand with a black base and clear back and mount. I’m going to spray paint the base purple and paint over it with orange glitter acrylic.
